What is the difference between filigree and basma?
Basma is embossed metalwork pressed into a thin sheet, while filigree is made from shaped and soldered wire. Filigree is slower, more individual, and more delicate in appearance.

Can I order a filigree icon in a kiot?
Yes. For icons with fine metalwork, a wooden kiot with glass is often recommended. It protects the icon from dust, humidity, and frequent touching while giving the icon a formal presentation.

Can filigree be added to a custom icon?
