Iveron Mother of God Orthodox Icons

Iveron Mother of God Orthodox icons, also known as Iviron Theotokos or Portaitissa icons, are traditional images of the Mother of God connected with Mount Athos and the Iviron Monastery. In this catalog you can buy hand-painted Iveron icons made in the Mstyora icon-painting tradition: prepared wooden boards, gesso ground, egg tempera, mineral pigments, gold leaf, and careful canonical drawing.

The Iveron icon is often chosen for a home prayer corner, a new home, a family gift, a church interior, or a custom icon order. We offer ready catalog works and can also paint the icon in an individual size and decorative style.

How to choose an Iveron Orthodox icon
For a small home prayer corner, sizes such as 17×21 cm or 20×24 cm may be practical. For a new home or family gift, 27×31 cm or 30×40 cm usually gives the image more presence. For a church, chapel, or iconostasis, a larger custom size and a protective kiot may be more appropriate.
